Viewpark Glen
A fantastic and spacious outdoor area featuring open spaces and woodland, managed by the Viewpark Conservation Group. We regularly volunteer at the Glen and use it for a wide variety of outdoor activities, wide games, and adventures.
Before You Visit
Arrive on time — if you're running late, contact a leader. Depending on where in the Glen the activity is taking place, late arrivals may not be able to join.
Never send young people ahead to find leaders on their own. Wait until a leader has acknowledged receipt of your young person before you leave.
Respect all other users of the Glen: cyclists, pedestrians, and dog walkers.
Follow all instructions from leaders and any ranger staff.
Stay with the group at all times — never separate without permission.
Leave no trace except footprints. Take all litter home with you.
Protect the Glen and its wildlife from any damage.
What to Bring
Drop-off Locations
Leaders will confirm the specific drop-off point before each visit. Here's a guide to all the options:
Drop Off A — Main Car Park
Our primary drop-off point, located in the centre of the Glen off the A8. From Baillieston, take the A8 towards the Shawhead flyover, exit at the first left junction heading west, then follow the road over the M8 bridge to the turning circle.
