We’re always looking for ways to fund great Scouting without asking families for more money. Here’s one that costs you nothing: we’ve joined easyfundraising, and it’s one of the easiest ways to support the 144th.
What is easyfundraising?
easyfundraising is a website and app that turns your everyday online shopping into free donations for the group. Thousands of retailers — including big names like Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, eBay, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Just Eat, Booking.com and the major insurance and energy comparison sites — will donate a small percentage of whatever you spend to the 144th, at no extra cost to you.
How it works
- Sign up for free — join easyfundraising and choose the 144th Glasgow Scout Group as your cause. It takes about two minutes.
- Shop as normal — when you buy something online, start at easyfundraising (or use the browser reminder or app) and click through to the retailer.
- We get a donation — the retailer sends the group a free donation automatically. You pay exactly the same price you always would.
That’s it. Insurance renewals, holidays, birthday presents, the weekly shop — it all adds up, and every penny goes straight into activities, kit and adventures for our young people.
