Trustee — Funding Specialist
One job — win grants and funding for a Baillieston Scout Group. Fully remote, hugely high-impact, do it all from your sofa.
Flexible, fully remote possible
This role does one thing, and does it brilliantly: find and win funding.
Scouting changes lives, but it costs money to run — equipment, camps, badges, making sure no young person misses out because of cost. We’re looking for someone to focus purely on applying for grants and funding on the Group’s behalf.
What you’d be doing
- Researching and applying to grants, trusts and funding opportunities
- Writing compelling applications that tell our story
- Where funding is tied to a specific project, helping set that project up
Who it’s for
If you’ve got a knack for bid-writing, fundraising, or just love digging into forms and making a strong case, this is enormously valuable to us. It’s a fully remote Trustee role — you can do all of it from home, at times that suit you. No weekly commitment, and you don’t have to work directly with young people.
And taking it on doesn’t preclude anything else, either. If you’d like to get more involved down the line — including working directly with our young people — you’d be very welcome to. It’s up to you: the more you put in, the more you get out of Scouting.
You’d be funding everything we do here in Baillieston, in Glasgow’s East End — get this right and the camps, kit and adventures all follow. Full support provided, and your PVG/Disclosure check is covered.
